Try not to pry with a screw driver. (Atleast not in the mating surface area. If you can leveridge it elsewhere then maybe ok.) This can scar the surface. Or bend the pan if its a pressed metal part.

You could use a scalpel / razor and carefully slice the old rtv along the seam.
