After finding out that there was no boost restrictor pill between the compressor outlet and the t-piece in the boost line, I purchased two off eBay (Genuine Subaru part). I bought a 1.0 mm and a 1.2 mm one. (Those are the sizes of the holes that air goes through). Before with a straight through hose I got wastegate pressure under WOT and with the pill I get 14 psi max. All of a sudden, the
ECU causes the factory boost solenoid to adjust itself so I get 8psi max again. I reset the
ECU by disconnecting the negative of the battery and stepped on the brakes. Reconnected and it ran proper boost again. But as I hit peak boost, it runs at 8psi max again. Any suggestions as to how I can stop it from going into low boost again? Note, I used the 1.0 mm which gave me 14 psi. The 1.2 mm gave me 12 psi.
