Default Autronic SMC/SM2 CEL code 3:3 Cylinder trigger signal I/P missing

I took the WRX for a drive on the weekend, and with the air con on, it stalled a lot. It does this when the air con is on, its quite normal. When re-starting it, sometimes I was able to catch it by taking foot off the clutch and bump starting it.

After the last bump start, it now has check engine code 3:3 on start up, which from the book is: Cylinder trigger signal I/P missing

I've started the car a few times since, I've taken it for a drive, and its fine. Boosts to peak boost. Cold start is good. Engine cranks and fires first time.

I suspect its something to do with the engine stall and then the bump start.

Just wanted to get opinion from anyone who has experience... is this "something just to keep an eye on" and is likely to be from the stall and bump start? Or is it something more serious??
