Assuming you get an average inspector;
- Boost controller won't pass if they see it (Can't have an 'emissions altering device' or something along those lines)
- Exhaust will need to pass decibel test, be securely fitted, and have a catalytic converter fitted.

Common things people fail for
- Windscreen washers don't work
- Seatbelts don't retract
- Blown bulbs
- Blow off valve/bypass valve to be silent in operation and plumbed back into the intake
- All breathers to be plumbed back into intake
- Battery to be securely mounted
- Pod filter to be mounted securely, and you have to have purchased a modification permit inspection from the Department of Transport prior to getting the pit inspection (~$15)
- Tint can't be too dark, tint can't be bubbling/peeling
- Can't have holes in the dash with wiring exposed (say a head unit has been removed and nothing has been fitted in its place)
- Gear shifter pattern has to be displayed
