A good tune will always cost you $.
A car will look the same from the exterior or the badge, but at the end of the day, even with similar mods, it may react differently to those mods. So the variables to make the tune ideal and street friendly and more importantly safe will take time.
There is no quick fix when it comes down to an
ECU. The
ECU is the brain for the car's fueling, timing, ignition, etc. Its not something you can just pull out a generic map and apply it to the same mods over and over again. There are always some variables that will sit outside of the threshold.
I think for guys that spend 1000's of $ on mods and the car only to skimp on tuning cost (and
ECU upgrade) is silly. Sure, a fullah sik 1000HP turbo and whining gearbox sounds great to all your mates, but without a decent tune, means its just a wasted investment
My 2cents!
