What a start to the morning, I was travelling to work along my normal route which is on winterfold road and then turn right onto Stock Road towards South Street.

When I turned onto Stock Road I saw 2 cops sitting there with their back's to the traffic so I looked down and I saw that I was doing the limit of 60 and about 200mtrs up the road it changes to 80, so when I gradually got to the sign I sped up to the limit of 80kmh. In this short space of time one of the cops jumped around and put up his speed gun(obviously hearing my car) and he only hailed me down when I was about to go past them which was about 100 or so meters after the 80kmh sign.

I asked what the problem was and he said that I was doing 79 in the 60, I mean WTF !! Does he have nothing better to do than try and ping people meters before a speed change, is this legal?? I argued with him that there was a change to 80kmh but he didn't care and issued me with A $100 fine and one demerit point.
