Default DIY: Installing Autronic Temp sensor

There is already a IAT (intake air temp) sensor thats apart of the AFM in your intake. If your lucky to have a Spec-C - you will most probably also have another one (NTC type), tapped into the manifold, under the throttle body.

As im looking at getting my Autronic SM4 tuned soon, and did not have another IAT sensor - I had to drill & tap my manifold to plug in the Autronic supplied unit.

The Autronic SM4 manual states that the IAT sensor MUST be reading air temp post intercooler (on turbocharged engines). A suitable place to tap in the autronic sensor would be right under the TMIC exit pipe - however tha spot is taken up by one of my Aquamist nozzles. Also - if it was in this spot - it wouldn't read the temperature drop when spraying.

This spot is most suitable to drill and tap for the Autronic sensor:
**(note: Use a 8.5mm drill and a 1/8 NPT tap, once screwed in, seal it with some loctite)
