CEL- Autronic
 

Hi all,

After some help/advice as my wrx is throwing a CEL on startup.

Started when i was on WOT in 4th and not long after full boost was reached (roughly 5k) the car hit what I think was boost cut. The CEL immediately flashed twice then six times after a short pause. Now the CEL flashes the same code on every start up.

I'm not familiar with CEL codes at all, is there anyone that can help me find what the code is?

I'm running an Autronic SMC ecu...

Mine always does it on start up and a few other members as well have the same thing occur, I cant for the life of me remember what Wisby told me it was but it's not cause for concern whoever if you are worried about it just call your tuner or a workshop that tunes Autronic for peace of mind.

mine blinks on startup - i know 1 error is that is says battery is below 12v and the other is a AFR error because the 02 sensor isnt warm yet.

I see, only thing is this wasn't happening before..... all started happening after I got a nice dose of boost cut.

Hmmm found heaps of info on the stock ecu cel codes but not much on autronic...

plug yer computer in and ask it...
Mine does it all the time and two of the problems are to do with air/ water temps being out of the envelope, usually prior to the car warming up.

If you hit boost on a cold night it may have confused the poor little thing.

flashing once on startup is normal, the 6 flashes means its just logged that you hit boost cut...it goes away after ex amounts of starts or a specific time period.

Also should have added that I THINK I've been getting a bit of compressor surge, happens sometimes in 3rd or 4th under load on full boost. I get a kind of flappy flutter sound and the boost gauge will bounce very fast between roughly 1.2 and 1.3 bar. Doesn't sound like its coming from the BOV either.

Anyhow booked in at mms soon for 3rd-4th SC :D hopefully they will have some time to check it out and tune.

Just after my tune except it was 5th gear WOT, just as it was hitting full boost it cut...i might add it was a very very very cold night and has never done it since...
