Found out the other day STILISSH is a write off so if you are looking for parts for your car she will be soon to be auctioned. Will Keep you posted.

mARC 14-02-2010 10:44 PM

STILISSH 14-02-2010 11:01 PM

Hehehe they wouldnt even let me take my BOV off so we had to sneak that off. Now trying to figure out what car to get next.

AJAYJAY 14-02-2010 11:02 PM

STILISSH 14-02-2010 11:05 PM

damo 14-02-2010 11:10 PM

STILISSH 14-02-2010 11:13 PM

Yeah thinking about that now coz still want to keep my plates

saturation 14-02-2010 11:19 PM

STILISSH 14-02-2010 11:22 PM

GX-REX 15-02-2010 10:38 AM

Insurance company didnt give you the option of buying it back?

STILISSH 15-02-2010 04:53 PM

Yeah they did but i dont have the extra cash to buy it back at the moment

JDM_STYLE 15-02-2010 06:19 PM
Yeah thinking about that now coz still want to keep my plates
Plates are your property and not the insurance co's, go get them
back before they go missing!!!

Philbo 15-02-2010 07:35 PM

How much do they want for the wreck ?

Pimpreza 15-02-2010 07:41 PM
How much do they want for the wreck ?
You'll find out if you go to the auction, I'd say once it's at Fowles/Pickles it's been paid out and belongs to the insurance company by now.

Philbo 15-02-2010 07:56 PM

Yeah but normally when a cars written off the owner can opt to buy it back before auction. Ask Tim aka Wild RX he did it. Made more off the wreck than what he bought it off the insurance company for.

STILISSH 15-02-2010 09:09 PM

I got my plates so all good. To be honest cant be bothered with it anymore too hard. If you guys want to get parts of it you can go to the auction.

mARC 21-02-2010 06:14 AM

pic's/link to auctioned vehicle yet?

Strubaru 21-02-2010 10:51 AM

mARC 21-02-2010 11:05 AM

Cheers for the pic's bud, STILISSH, you could have at least asked me if I wanted those foggie covers first :D.

Due to the self destructive design of cars these days the outcome often looks worse so that they can make truckloads on parts.

You ever seen what a car looks like written off due to not being jacked up at the right points (this wasnt uncommon in the days of the AU being jacked up without a front windscreen in and the original pulsar 'hatchback wagon style chassis'.), lotsa dodgy shit happened at John Hughes Automotive Panel & PAint =/

JDM_STYLE 21-02-2010 03:57 PM

All that frontal damage and the airbags didn't go off, fail !!!

jEstEr? 21-02-2010 04:48 PM

I reckon that'd buff out

phizzle 21-02-2010 06:09 PM

Features: 1 key

LOL

Hope you get your full payout and are back in another STI asap!

evlgurl 21-02-2010 07:15 PM

Had a chat to you today about this.
Hope you can get a new car soon. Best of luck. :)

teejay 21-02-2010 11:42 PM

If it hasnt bent rails that probably wouldnt be too hard to sort out.

Wonder what it will go for .

jEstEr? 22-02-2010 12:09 AM

drug money is my bet

Rossco 22-02-2010 01:10 AM
All that frontal damage and the airbags didn't go off, fail !!!
Airbags don't trigger in oblique frontal impacts.

JDM_STYLE 22-02-2010 03:17 AM
Airbags don't trigger in oblique frontal impacts.
Hence the fail :D

dtrally 22-02-2010 09:53 AM
drug money is my bet
I watched a Buyeye STi with heaps more damage than that (front wheel was inside the car, under the glove box) pass in at Manheim Fowles for $12k.

I believe it sold the next week for $13,200 + fees. Dreaming!

jessw 22-02-2010 11:22 PM

we got just over $1000 for this minus fees so only ended up $500 :(
