G'day folks, not sure if this is the right section but I'm browsing from my phone and couldn't find a consolidated "stolen cars/property" thread.

Somewhere between 8:30pm and 10:45pm on 25th August my car was broken into at Greater Union Innaloo cinemas and my radar detector was taken. Yes I know I'm a dumb cunt for leaving it in the car... but I thought Innaloo was a classy area :P

I just want to make people aware if one pops up for sale on here or any other car club forum, gumtree etc. the unit has light scratches on it, and the coiled power cable has a unique kink in it halfway down that is noticeable and won't coil itself back into shape any time soon, and it obviously won't come in the original box!

They also took the clear indicators from the fenders and front bumper (GC8 WRX)

As bleak as any positive results may be, any info would be appreciated.

It was an opportunist theft, looks like they removed the indicators with a flathead screwdriver and scratched the fuck out of the paint (front bumper ones require a Philips head to remove) and must have seen the RD in the car and decided to go one step further in their thieving mood.
Well I know that now haha. How's crime in Westminster? I've lived in Rockingham/Mandurah for 17 years and have never been a victim of crime. Spend one evening NOR and my car gets a brick through the window. Fuck NOR.

I know right, they even took the bulbs and wiring... lol

One of the fender indicators is slightly burnt/blackened on the rear. One of the front bumper indicators has crack/chip on it from a stone hitting it, so both pairs appearing for sale somewhere will be noticeable.

Stealing indicators? Far out... I'd be checking in the bushes near by for them. Seems a bit too specific thing to pinch and more of a 'hey it takes 2 seconds to pop out the indicators, lets annoy this guy' kinda thing.

sad, sad people...stealing indicators! I would expect that in Africa, where you go to drive off from a red light, and your car is on bricks, but not in Innalooo...
