Alert a Moderator
Hi guys,
As you might be aware (or not aware) the mods of these forums are just volunteers and are not always around to see what is happening. Please use this thread to alert a moderator of the forum to any issue you may have come across on the boards. Feel free to let us know if a thread has gone off-topic, any abusive messages/tags, ask why a thread has been edited/locked, or why your for sale post has been edited/removed. Wondering who a mod/super mod/admin of a section is? See the list of forum leaders here: http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/showgroups.php Thanks, |
maybe we can get a PWRX mIRC running?
mIRC: Internet Relay Chat client |
Used to be an IRC channel for a number of years... although it hasn't been around for a while!
Could be a good idea!? |

I can start it up again... |
John,
Alert a Moderator = Dob in someone being a Khunt? :) |
Heh, no.
This is to let people know if something is not right, a thread that needs editing or yes dobbing someone in for being a khunt. Aim here is to avoid 30 billion replies in threads saying 'duh read teh rulez'. If someone see's an issue, post it up for mods to discuss/reply/fix. |
Cant they use the red card system in the top right hand side of each post?
|

^^ WHS... I've only been pissed off enough to red card somebody once though. heh. |
In other news, there seems to be unheard of levels of sexual frustration in this thread

Spotted thread on the home page is still linked to the v1.9 spotted thread.
Any chance that it can be updated to the latest thread? Thanks in advance. |

Time to begin the quote train until it is fixed! |
I asked about 6 months ago Tony, still not changed haha
|
Website logo/graphics at the top of the page still say "Celebrating 11 years 2000 - 2011"
|
Speaking of the logo, has anyone done a sedan version? If so, I'd put one on my car :)
|
Speaking of the logo, has anyone done a sedan version? If so, I'd put one on my car :)
Maybe do logo's for Classic sedans/wagons Bugeye sedans/wagons Peanut sedans/wagons Pignose sedans/wagons Betty sedans/hatchs maybe the cost of so many different car logos with Perth Wrx on it would not work,,,,, Just a idea :) |
That's a great idea! Stickers don't cost much. Just have the digital files ready to go and get them 'printed' when the order comes in.
So, does anyone have the skill to do the artwork? Or can I have a high res copy of the current logo? Or is this not allowed due to brand image issues? |

I've deleted about 25 over a few days, boom hit with 40 just this morning. Someone's gonna have to do an IP block

Over the last few days when accessing P-Diddy using cellular data on my iPhone I'm getting redirected to various advert websites (jamster, etc). Doesn't seem to do it when using wifi, and after downloading the AdBlock app, it no longer occurs. I'm not sure if this is my phone fucking with me, or P-WRX itself, but it only has occurred on this website.
|
It did it a few times on my phone a few weeks ago (in and out of wifi), but after a virus scan in my phone and Adblock it's not happened again.
|
Yeah. I was getting similar pretty heavy recently too on my phone. But it seemed to stop after putting some anti virus on. Its wierd though, it would only happen on pwrx. Never any other sites. (Except occasional on porn sites)
|
Also. Why cant i post in the DIY section of the forum. I think this needs priority attention.
|
Got a link, for the porn?

Click at your own risk. Not safe for work. Infact not safe at all. clicky ckicky |
I have read recently where a person browsing a website via 3/4G would receive an sms and then receive a second Sms a few seconds later confirming acceptance of a premium sms subscription. The cost would be $10 a week etc and supposedly the phone companies would not stop it.
|
I used the perth wrx app worlds fairly well no virus to date
using the Perth-WRX mobile app |
I get redirected to shit gaming sites from pwrex every time I skulk in.
Not an enthusiastic poster or community guy but for some reason I do love me some prex most days but really getting the shits with the redirections. Have run various security apps to isolate the problem but with no luck. Anyone know how to prevent this pita continually occurring? |
I had the same issue last week too. There was a weird ad the first time only got a glimpse then it started redirecting me so I closed the site. It kept doing it every time I tried to visit pwrx until I cleared my browser cache. Also on my phone at the time. No other site affected. I wonder if anyone else had a different phone provider than Telstra?
|
Probably because you're not subscribers/supporters? If you pay the $20 subscription fee, you won't see ads.
|
It's not forum ads, it's redirections.
|
It's not forum ads, it's redirections.
Zin said he got a weird ad at first and that it redirected him. I'd say there is a good chance the ads are redirecting them. It's quite common on Android phones and browsers. |
