Dentist/surgeon wants to take mine out and should have really gotten them out earlier in life but wasn't in the financial position to do so. They have only ever once caused me grief and that was a few weeks ago. No more than a puffy gum, but I'm still going to get them taken out at the end of the year. The older you get, the harder it is for your mouth and gums to recover after removal. Unfortunately for me I have to go under general anaesthetic so my wallet is going to get bumraped even with private health insurance.

Had my wisdom teeth out a few years ago. The X-Rays were impressive, bottom two teeth were growing horizontally in my jaw.
Was a GA to have them out in hospital. From walk into hospital to walk out was about 3 hours. Actual op took about 45 mins.
Well worth getting it done.

Yeah its been on the cards for a couple of years now to get all four out but has been no rush. Apparently I'm at risk of nerve damage cos the roots are so close to my nerves. Just got back from the dentist, on antibiotics cos I got an infection. And I have to organise to get them out asap
