I think the better option would be what they are doing the US.
Cut out your stock grille and put wire mesh in. Looks mean.

Folks, I took my front grille out (05 Sti) and was about to cut out the stock black mesh and centre garnish where the Subaru emblem sits but noticed that in doing this it would also leave holes on the grille surround (have a look at your stock grille and you'll realise that cutting the bracket out leaves triangular holes on the top and base). Has anyone done this through a panel/paint or bodykit workshop for a more professional finish? If so where and how much did it cost?

Go with what sleepy said that white one looks awesome!!!

Plus dont really like the jdm one looks too busy... simple and clean is best

also cuttin out the factory one is cheaper

Cheers for the link Dave, very interesting mate. However ideally I want the mesh to sit in towards the engine side more (as it is fitted to the inside rear of the grille as standard) as this looks tougher. I imagine this would mean you'll still notice the cut out of the centre garnish. I'll have to look into it further.

i like the JDM one as its different and i reckon it does change the apperance! id go with that!
