Just recently brought one of the new 4 Channel PDX series Alpine amp. There tiny but have loads of power! Combined with front MB-Quartz splits, and soon MB-Quartz rears, deafeningly loud!

i have 1 x 12" Kicker "comp" sub in a pre-made box and it kicks damn hard, currently running it off two channels of an MTX 4 channel amp with the other two channels running Kicker splits up front but i may end up using my other alpine 4 channel ( mrp250 i think it is ) and have it dedicated to the sub though

therefore, id got with what IMPRESIV said and get a good Kicker sub in a pre-fab'd box, mine cost $250 from AudioCom Bunbury a couple of years ago and i havent looked back. makes all the noise i need for not much $$

Try an Avalanche 10" or 12" available from Strathfield... They are usually very reasonably priced...

Can get one in a box for around $50 or there abouts! Depends what size you want!?

mines a hatch so its different to kristians but i have a pair of 4" kenwood in my back doors for fill and they do well.

in a sedan, as above, get rid of the 6x9"s if your getting a sub and get yourself a pair of 6 - 6.5" two or three ways for rear fill.

i got 2x type s dual voice coil the new ones on a mono block and mate it hammers Alpine type s Or even better type R all the way

I have a Kicker sub 12inch in box, have a boss amp as well is not the best amp in the world but works sweet.

If you want it hey ill sell them both for like $200 bucks all in good nick.
