quick q. driving after respray
hey guys this will be a quick question
so i got my car back from the panel beaters today, smells heavily of paint. i need the car tomorrow but i *can* do without.. just wondering whether its safe to drive? im not sure when it was painted etc.. rubbed my hand over it and it seems slightly oily/freshly polished (not sure sorry!) or should i wait a while til i drive it? thanks |

Wouldnt the panel beater keep it until its ready and ok to be driven?

Perhaps a question for your panel beater?

If it feels as though its been polished or extremely slippery to touch then its pretty much cured.. The would have blocked it and polished it before they returned it to you..
The smell of paint will be there for another week maybe till it gets out of all your ducts and that... Wouldn't worry it will more then likely be dry now.. |
