hey everyone.

i got some H4 HIDS for my 99 wrx about 2yrs ago and they are supposed to be high and low beams. when i turn my lights on they are good but when i switch to high beam mode i cant really see any difference ie the light isnt brighter, i cant see more of the road.

is ther something wrong with my lights or is that how the high and low beams work on the HID lights.

If they are anything like the H4-3s in the last group buys then it wont be brighter on the high beam. Only thing that happens is the globe slides into the high beam position to move the beam upwards. but the light output is the same.

Have you got pics of the globe setup?

ah k. yeah thats wats happening. i can get some pics up tomorrow for ya to have a look at if thats any help

either that or he's got h4-2s where the high beams are your normal lights not xeons since why he can't see the difference, xeons low beams will be brighter than non-xeon high beams
