Default "Ok" Sound System?

hey guys.

ive done a search on here and didnt really find the answers i was looking for so i thoguht id post up another thread.

My sound system in my MY05 Evo 8 is pretty much stock apart from the head unit.

i want a sub in the boot to add a little bit of bass. but not too much. i was thinking 1 Alpine Type S 12" coz ive heard good reports on them.

while i was at it. would it be worth upgrading the stock speakers? or are they pretty good? im not sure on the stock speakers as its a newish car to me

i was thinking to put in 6" splits in the front to just replace the exisitng ones and put the tweeter in where the door handle is.
theres 4" in the back as you would probably all know, should i put in some decent 4" (if you can get them), or try to upgrade to 6"?

im a newbie so go easy on me lol.

cheers in advance for the help

Hey Mate REXPECTED is clever in saying that the MB Quarts are the way to go
at this stage its probably better to leave the rears....unless your sitting in the back of the car you wont hear them. About $350 for a set of MB Quart Discuss and abour $140ish for the sub plus a box then a good 4 channel amp so that you can bridge the rear connections to use as a sub channel say about $400 + $150ish for fitting or if your technically minded DIY. My 2 Cents

If you want to you can have a listen to my system all mb quart and alpine.
pm me if you want a listen

Cheers Phil

Rob, come have a listen to mine one day mate.

Its all Pioneer gear, but pretty basic stuff. Pretty sure you'll find it does the job rather well.
