sprinkle copious amounts of sodium bicarbonate/ baking soda (baking section at Coles or at a pharmacy) on the offending area and leave for a while. It will draw up moisture and smells.

don't get pulled over by the cops or you'll get done like Ben Cousins for having a white powder all over your seat LOL

If worst comes to worst, pour some petrol on it, once the petrol has evaporated the smell will go with it leaving no bad odors.

Yep, or go to Coles and get a 1lt bottle of White Spirit (that's whats used for Dry Cleaning, a basic petroleum distillate with no stain qualities).

PS DONT SMOKE

i would not spray petrol on anything! thats a stupid idea! dont do it!

rotten milk is a bitch to get rid of, short of removing the carpet and jetwashing it, not a lot will shift it as it will have soaked in and rotted,

carpet cleaning will only work for a bit.

I agree
petrol can't be good for synthetic upholstery
