Boost Gauge
ok, quick question.
im going to install a boost gauge today, it came with instructions but they say that i have to tap into the line between the pressure regulator and surge tank for the boost sensor.....i was under the impression that i could put the line onto the spare port on the inlet manifold! could anyone clear this up?? it is a Saber electronic boost gauge cheers in advance ps, how hard is it to take the centre dash console out??

Tim,
Some will argue the accuracy of using the spare 'nipple' (sorry had to say that) on the top of the manifold. I would say it is ok. Have seen many cars running this set-up and the bonus is that by not hacking into anything else, you are less likely to cause a leak that may effect another reading for a sensor. When bringing the line into the cabion, there is a black gromit on teh driver side below the master cylinder, slice this and feed the tube through, just make sure it is secured away from anything moving or the turbo/manifold. E4OLUTION should be able to tell you about pulling the centre console out, I have only done this to a dash sitting out of a car and it wasn't too hard, just clips and screws. Toni
