Custom Body Work
anyone know any shop that does custom body kits?
for example you show them a picture or drawing of the body you want and they would mold one for me with firber glass or something like tht. i have once seen it done on Discovery channel, on the series called rides. |

If you happy to spend 10k+ on quality workmanship...continue entertaining this idea...if not stay the hell away from fibreglass work, cheap nasty and unreliable!

True coachwork is generally hand formed in metal i.e. steel/aluminium. 'bodykits' which bolt into factory positions are generally ABS Plastic (for good quality product) - fibreglass is a cheap imitation which initially looks good but quickly deteriorates and becomes high maintenance. All those fancy custom bodykits (yet to see anything of class imho) you see at rice shows generally require 'maintenance' on a regular basis to keep up appearances.
