Default Sti Scoop

I was thinking of upgrading to the Sti scoop...

Is it like the fog light covers, just easier to get it through subaru osy park, or is there a beter option?...and...any idea on price???

i rang subaru ozy park for a price and for them to install it etc with all the proper "ducting", it worked out to like 800 :S.

Yup.

You need the genuine scoop (which in my opinion is far better than any fibreglass knock off item), painting of the scoop (only comes primed), air splitter and the rubber to seal the splitter to the intercooler.

And of course if you are getting someone else to do that, there will be some time and profits that need to be made.

do it all yourself. My car came with the scoop already but my brother fitted it.

i fitted the splitter by myself in around 15mins including the rubber. its very very easy to do.

is my stock splitter etc not compatable with the sti scoop?

It's compatible, but what is the point upgrading to a STi scoop, if the splitter underneath only directs air onto small part of the TMIC (IF you have a OE WRX intercooler of course)

Don't make it a visual mod, make it a performance one if you haven't already, install a bigger TMIC and get a splitter to suit, so air cannot get past it - This is the primary function of the splitter.

And i even have some pics, which i prepared earlier
