Default brighter interior lights?

has anyone had experience with these LEDs. I'm looking for brighter bulbs to replace the stock interior lights

http://www.ledshoponline.com/automot...ds_festoon.htm

how much brighter are they?

also do LEDs give off UV light? I hate it when I'm out bush at night, open the door and 100 moths come flying in

I bought some LED's to replace downlights at home - dull as. Ended up fitting a dimmer switch and keeping the hallogens - just wanted less heat so dimming them works.

I suppose they are all different though as the torch ones are bright.

Make sure they are not using the cheap China brand LED's - They are dull and often don't last as long as they should.

Some of the best LED's are made by 'Cree'. Followed by Luxeon, Osram and Nichia.

Alternatively, make something up yourself. You can find the LED's easily and the LED drivers are available from somewhere like Jaycar.

we have some extrodinary LED downlighters coming to market soon, they use osram star modules and are awsome, 50,000 hour guarantee, 1000 lumens (identical light output to a 50 Watt Halogen) 15 watt total consumption including psu, considerably cooler.
