ditch the crap driver and get a focal or phl woofer in there if you want it to be fast.

decent cable would help too - get some solid core magnet wire, (enamel coated to eliminate skin effect) Could get many strands of thinner wire together for flex or just bend into place a 2-3mm piece.

then it should only look shit, which is better than looking shit and sounding shit.

also is it electronically xo or passive xo? if its passive get some axon caps and wind your own coils with no bar (makes them massive) use magnet wire again, and bake in a kiln overnight at 800c :P okay maybe im getting a bit hardcore for just car audio here....
