Fishing line works a treat!!... and i used Acetone to get the WRX sticker off and all the excess glue... works excellent!!!... just wash the car down after and give it a polish to be safe!

I've de-badged the boot of my 05 WREX and it was pretty easy. All you need to do is heat up the badge that you want to take off with either a heating gun or a hair dryer, and then you carefully peel off the badge. There will be some sticky stuff left over from the badge so you’ll need to get rid of this by using something like Big Kevs Goo Remover which you can get from Coles, Woolworths, K-Mart etc.

Nail polish remover is a better alternative to acetone, because its not as strong. |

as said before, Eucalyptus oil is great for most of that sticky stuff left over from badges/stickers etc.
only downside is it stinks like a naturalist.

Is there a certain time frame to do this within? Had my car since September 16th, i'm eager to take the Subaru badge off.
