Default Headlights

Hey fellas,

My right hand headlight has become rather dirty inside, especially compared to the left. I'm guessing it's just dust but I'm not too sure. I've heard the headlights are one-piece and can't be opened, so was wondering how I'd go about cleaning them up and whether any of you have had to do it before??

Cheers,
Mike

they can be opened, just need to put them in the oven and melt the sealant...

there should be a how-to somewhere on REXNET or something...

You're not a GC8 hey Mike? There's a how-to somewhere about getting rid of the orange indicator colour in peanut headlights, which requires opening them. Search for that i think it was pretty detailed (think it was REXNET). It would essentialy work for any rex headlight i suppose

Nah I'm actually in a 04 XT. I may have a look into that, but would prefer to leave the headlight in one piece if I can help it ay.

Cheers,
Mike

Cheers asian, but I've got the manual. Was just looking to see if there was any alternative to opening the headlight.

Thanks for the help boys!
