Default What is the part number for this / where to buy it?

Hey guys,

Finished installing my S203 black console, shift boot and trim. The new shift boot has a button at the top, which makes the opening at the top quite large. As such it keeps falling down and getting in the way.

Looking at some pictures I came across this:

See the metal ring at the top of the shifter boot? I want one of them.

So now to the gurus, where can I find one (or similar) or is there a part number for it?

Cheers.

(P.S. Despite my super cool photoshopping skillz, I can't offer my services to anyone else )

Looks exactly like an sti one, whatever it is.

If you've got one that buttons up at the top will it even be able to be changed easily? Or maybe you should buy the sti boot

nah that's a seperate part, not part of the reverse "pull up" bit for the 6spd. John, just go to Subaru, and get them to look at the console for an 05 STi, should be same same, and then just grab that part.

It will simply be a wider ring to accept the gear boot.

It's apart of the shift assembly, I would say Subaru would only sell them with the complete shift assembly.

Gay...

I've got the S203 shifter boot which is the one pictured.

Anyone got a picture of a 6 speed without the boot on?

Its part of the shifter...can be disaasembled tho, but its hard enough getting a gear knob or bushes for a 6spd...doubt they would have ever stocked that part...

Can only but try tho, maybe be armed with the vin from a ~05 sti or somthing before hit the dealer..
