Burning Good Quality CD's
 

Just putting it out there if anyone could help me out i burn cd's all the time they seemed to be of good quality until the car went into alberts and got the system re-tuned.... after hearing the sound quality and how much i power i can get out of there test disc i want to burn cd's to the same high quality anyone no how?? any help would be appreciated thanks!!

Buy the originals.

I'm with Kato, MP3 quality will never be as good as CD.

If you have the originals and are copying them so they wont get stolen from your car use higher quality disks. If you search google there should be a million websites telling you how to get the best quality.

If they are mp3s then make sure you get a higher quality rip.

i have many originals except this test disc was unbelievable honestly

Test disks usually are because they need to push the system to the peak. Why not try looking at jbhifi for some test cds?

I'm gonna gues it was something similar to Alpine's Highway One? (Shit, that's going back a decade now :eek: ) These are specifically recorded at higher levels of clarity and detail. Something the mainstream record companies just do not do for the consumer. Really is chalk and cheese.

As stated you can never recover the lost information from an MP3, you can minimize it with fancy processors and such but it's only a band aid solution.

When you rip it into iTunes, there's an option to rip it in the Apple Lossless format. I believe is not an MP3 format that it records the track as but something else?

Whereas the highest quality you can select to record an MP3 at is about 320kbs in Microsoft Media Player and iTunes, the Apple Lossless format is variable and ranges. From what I personally have checked, it can range from between 900kbs to 1,300 per song! That's decent. But still no substitute for the original disc.

Alpine have a newer test disc which is DVD audio/DVD video.
