Default Side Mounting Number Plate

Hey guys,

Really wanting to side mount the number plate on the rex and have been looking into a couple of options, the most likely of which is buying an Evo 8 bracket or something and retrofitting it, so basically my questions are, which dealership in Perth will be able to help me out with Evo spare parts?

and, are there any better/other options i could look at? i remember a fibreglass fog light cover with a molded bracket on japanparts but its no longer on there

Cheers

I'm not sure if it's legal over here, matter of fact I'm not sure if it was legal in SA either, but a friend has a sticker licence plate thing, that was on the front bar. Maybe do that, if it's all good with the feds.

There is a company that makes a plate mount, its the shape of your foglight cover...mounts in its place.

Not sure who makes it, but its on japanparts.com

From what Ive heard you would get in less shit for running no plate at all then copying government plates.

Ahh fair enough. The sticker was actually issued to him, years ago mind you, some kind of sporting plate. Not sure if they still have them. It has the little gov logo and that same shiny look as regular plates.

Hard to say whether the sticker is worth the trouble or not.

Jan had his on and promptly got busted for it not long after. Whereas, i saw Blaise's old MR still running around with sticker plate on it.

Take the risk and hope for the best?

I was more just curious as to whether or not they were available over here than promoting them as the way to go. Seems that they're not that great an option. Little bit off topic, but related to plates, is there any definate reason that I have to change to WA plates?
