Default Main vent cover up - Underneath bonnet. Tips?

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever covered up their GC8 main bonnet vent under the hood. I have a FMIC, not a top mount and obviously the TMIC flushes up the rubber seal on the bonnet vent. I have to license my GC8 and I'm told that the inspectors won't pass it with a massive open vent (unless they do?). Has anyone got any DIY tips for me. I'm thinking about cutting the shape out in acrylic and bolting it behind the metal. This is only for licensing and will come straight off/out.

Any idea's other than this would be sensational.

Thanks, Jason.

The bonnet scoop will be fine.
The only problem you can find is if you have a reverse scoop or if the two smaller vents aren't covered they may pick up on that ... its to protect against any leaks in the engine bay coming out and onto the windscreen.

Should get away with a piece of cardboard painted black put under the metal.

I got my car over pits without covering the hole when I had a 96 wrx bonnet on and the N/A engine.

same, i even had my front mount permitted so they knew the topmount was gone. Said absolutley nothing about covering and topmount intake. Pretty much what eyez said.
