Does anyone have any recomendations for someone to steam clean carpets, seats and mats? Not fussed if they come out to you or if I have to travel.

I think you can hire a steam cleaner from woolies for the day, its pretty straight forward to use. Just use a good degreaser as well.
If not, I think the drive through car wash at the carousel (next to fast eddies) can do it. as should most car washes be able to do it. Also, I think most DIY wash bays have a steamer there for use as well...

woopsie... I was thinking of shampoo ing (if thats a word) not steaming.
When I used to work as a detailer, we called it shampooing anyway. It was like a vacuum cleaner but it sprayed a thin but powerful stream of water about an inch in front of the suction. the water would penetrate the seats, carpet etc, and the vacuum would suck it out along with all the dirt. same way they do professional carpet cleaning... I think if you hire the shampoo er or carpet cleaner or whatever you wanna call it, they will give you the degreaser with it. if not, Im sure any watyered down detergent would do. Just pick one that doesn't smell too much. or has a pleasant odour. What we did was spray the detergent very generously all over, then use the shampoo er to rinse it out. keep going over it until you rinse all the detergent out.
