Hello all,

New dakker has a sunroof. TJ is tall (2m) and thus his large head maketh contact with sunroof.

I dont care if the roof is there, but I want more headroom.

Can I just bash a non sunroof headliner in it and forget it exists? Or does the roof and mechanism itself stop this?

If so ... what options exist? I dont really feel like cutting roofs off a car.

Before anyone bothers, I no give a fark for the comfort/cool factor of the roof. This thing has air con, and this is way ahead of my old car by far already.

ask rob, he got a whole roof skin in for his car and a non sunroof headliner. your other option would be to pull out the whole mechanism and weld the hole up.

Jester has the right idea.
change the roof skin and fit a standard headlining.
there are not too many people that could weld a plate in the hole without didtorting the f@#k out of the roof skin,
just fit a new standard one.

They sit heaps higher than stock or upto my99 seats

It has 05 sti seats in atm - they are coming out though as they wernt part of purchase.

Even from memory, with 99 sti seats in its going to be an interesting battle.

I've got recaro's on lowered rails in my 02 STi TJ .... can have a sit in and see if its any better before making decisions.
