Default paint for engine bay

Hey guys,

Needing some paint for my engine bay. The colour is wrc blue 2004 sti. Hoecer the engine bay is a darker blue more like 98 wrx sti blue.

Does any know where I could get some without the clear coat?

Also need the same for the sti gold rims.

Any help much appreciated.

Any paint shop can match it up for you.
I have used APC in King St bayswater and find them to be pretty good.
Premier paint in malaga on the other hand are shit for matching colours.

Protec - Malaga or Welshpool

Quality paint, good guys to deal with.

I usually go to Malaga, ask for Tony.

edit: Take your fuel cap panel off. I believe the inside should be the same as your engine bay colour - no clear coat.

706 Basecoat!

The guys in Balcatta just about opposite Pickles in the small complex on the corner are very cheap & good at matching too, Subaru generally just use the base coat under the bonnet without clear so if the paint is good you may be able to clean it then put clear over it to match the outer paint if that's what you are after.

i thought the base coat might be the same but didnt think the clear coat would make it brighter??

i will go and have a chat to a couple of paint places and see if they can mix me up a pot.

+1 have used them..match paint perfectly. They can put it in a pressure pack or a tin for you.

ummm... my names Daren lol Toni and I both drive CS4 so I guess you could mistake us both.

The paint from memory was around $20-30 (1 year ago) but I got a big tin, not one of those pissy looking touch up things. I am going again there soon to get some in a pressure pack.

yeah these guys on balcatta rd are great, they matched up my silver on my forester which was pretty tricky coz there are 4 paint shade variants to the single subaru colour code, you're looking at about $25-$30 for a large pressure pack can mate, would be enough to refresh your engine bay
