I'm not sure about my05...but in my my99 I put some 6-1/2 inch ones in. Also the door trim was fairly easy to get off.

I know this is probably rather obvious to some, but when i made my spacers (traced old speaker mount onto mdf, cutout with jigsaw, drilled and awesome) i just mounted the speakers directly onto the mdf, and then screwed onto the door...

PROBLEM.... speakers hit the door panel when i put it back on, thus vibrating the shizzle out of the door, and rather damaging the cones of my new $300 speakers....

Solution? - The speakers really only touch at the top, cut the mdf spacers on an angle from top to bottom ie reducing the depth of the spacer at the bottom... Works really well and after i had dynamatted the doors, was like a million bucks!

As i say, probly very obvious to all you smart cookies out there, would have saved me a while if i knew in the first place!

You can fit up to a 6.5" speaker in the doors. Depending on the outer basket size and depth of the speaker you will more than likely need some custom suited spacers to suit individual speakers.
