If I was going to venture down the path of changing the look of interior plastic parts, an alternative to painting is hydrographic printing.

Hey trainwrex. Did you buy the 3M one ? apparently its really good, and a good alternative. There's a video on youtube of a ugly betty carbon wrapped the entire car with it. But now that you say it looks shit I'm having second thoughts =(

How does that stuff get wrapped around edges? Does it just have a few more inches that's stuck underneath? Does it crease at corners?

have a look at this stuff..works ok I think but does require a bit of install skill to get edges right, heat gun or hair dryer works a treat. http://www.drycarbonwrap.com/index.html

check out their gallery for pics including a roof of GC8

Yeh i got a sample of that.. im not a fan of it at all especially lined up against real carbon fibre.. Its a good alternative to the other fake stuff out there, but for people that know can tell a mile away..

Also its dry carbon look not the glossy look.

Wrapping around, its basically vinyl so if you heat it up its very flexible..

Hmm, having second thoughts about this now ! yeah it does look kind of dryish no gloss effect, but the price differences between an actual CF dash and the fakie vinyl is pretty big.
