It's not about the size of the rim. It's about the clearance between the spokes and the hub

Bad move.

A lot of those bling wheels dont have the right offset to clear Brembos, but most of the Jap race rims have the offset cos people fit big brakes to "race" cars anyway..

Spacers are illegal. You crash the car and odds are it will void your insurance.

Its the offset of the rims that dictate whether they clear the brakes
was it +53 for brembos?

Really depends on the manufacturer but plus 52 in Volk LE will clear buy about 2mm...

I know the guy with the ce28Ns on that rexnet link bought the 18x7.5" with +50 offset and they clear...even though the size chart says it doesn't. That is one bad thing about the te37s compared to the ce28Ns...if you want em to clear the brembos the recommended offset is in the +30's and they stick out like testicles

I took the cheep option for wheels for my 06 but the look fine, just need to drop the car a bit.. (ROH Boost R)

hey al..

i got a set of works bronze 18 x 8.5 53 offset(i think) in delivery now for my black 05 sti.. it will be on g4's by then.. will come to work and show ya!
