Prepped correctly, you can achieve a very good finish using the paint.

But as said previously, painted parts can crack and chip over time. This can be eliminated with proper preparation... unlike mine; painted and installed at midnight before a show.

Thanks man, will check out Jester?s pics. I thought as much on the paint side of things, totally agree, will look good for 6 to 12 months, allow the sun to get at it and the finish would start to look crappy.

I am definitely leaning toward the covering of the parts, just want to try to get it to match well enough that it looks stock. I know this will be a challenge in itself, although I don't want people jumping in the car saying, your roof and pillars look good, when you finishing it off. Just want it to blend in, while at the same time changing the colour to black.

Matty,

Tino's and your car both look awesome, however dont want to go down this road of customisation. I would be scared to get in and drive the thing in case I marked something. I do also think that Tino's is a bit much, but both cars look show quality.

Cheers for everyone's help, will be going down the Alcantara route, just got to find the right shade of black to match.

I think that black Alcantara on the roof and sides will REALLY highlight ANY dirt. We have a black floor rug at home and its a pain! Constantly have to vacuum it. Looks good when clean though.

only a problem if you're doing a lionel richie in your car russ (dancing on the ceiling) :D
