What amp?
Hey guys,
I've had these subs for about a year and half...I brought them brand new, I don't know what type of kickers they are and if they are any good but I want to put them back in my Subaru. I just need some help in choosing the right amp for them or amps if that's the case. Also due to the lack of room in a MY05 sedan I'm having trouble with gettin sub boxes wich to put the subs in that'll fit nicely into my boot. If anyone knows of any good ideas I will gladly listen. Thnx.

From the closest specs I can find for those woofers they need 500 watts rms per woofer. Assuming they are a single 4ohm woofer you will need an amplifier that has the power output of 1000watts rms @ 2ohm.
Alpine amongst other brands have a few suitable amplifiers.

I have only come up with 150w RMS, going off spec #07C124 12" Single 4 ohm Comp Series Subwoofer Power Handling:

Haydn, specs I found said they took 150RMS, 300max? I just googled it though, you might have proper spec sheets or something?
EDIT: yeah RoughStilin said it too. http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au/...dio-products/? Jdog, check those forums. Nothing there that's any good? check tomorrow. They're frequently updated. If you're in no huge rush, something will come along within a few weeks that tickles your fancy. My opinion (when I saw Haydn say it took 500RMS) was for you to ditch one of the subs and power the remaining one with an Alpine PDX-1.600. You said its a bit tricky getting the enclosure in there as it is, so you will save space as you only have the one sub + a SMALL amp (PDX is very small but powerful!) "But I want the second sub... I want it to go louder!" Another sub would't add all that much volume. Not worth the expense of space of getting a more powerful amp that will comfortably power them, IMO. Not to mention the extra space of the box required. Still want something louder? Pay more money for something that will take more power and is known to play loud. Putting the sub in the best box suited to it (ie the best dimensions/internal space) is also something that will get you more volume. BUT, since I've read that they only take 150RMS.. i CBF helping there Go to Cashies haha.
