you've done well! looks sorta like the sti job minus the grooved rings.

gearknobs are so often overlooked. i was quite lucky to have had a piece of motoring history in the 'rw. it started life in ari vatanan's 1992 prodrive subaru rally team europe legacy rally car, which failed to finish rally aus in that same year due to, of all things, transmission failure. the car, becomes damaged on transport and this gearknob then ends up in the hands of a certain western australian rally champion's group n turned group a car becoming a most valuable piece of rally memorobillia. in its journey and of all people, it lands into my lil left hand!

okay so apart from that worthless trivia, the above has little or nothing to do with the new shift stick, but you have to admit, its a cool story!

ari's "knob" sits atop a milled alloy shifter extension into a mms/sti super short shifted kit.

To think I've seen your knob so many times yet never knew it's history.

can you etch sti into it?

We use Laser & Allied Cutting Services at work, dunno if they laser etch as well as laser cut, might be worth a try.
