Hey guys and girls,

Just wondering if anyone out there would be able to give me some instructions on how to remove and replace the rear RHS tail light on an 06 WRX ?

I need to pull off the damaged tail light and replace it.

I did do a search, but I havent managed to find anything *yet* if anyone does have a link feel free to point me towards it (please)

03-07 should all be interchangeable as far as I am aware.
I think the MY05 lights are nicer. More red.

Yeah there isnt a lot of info about the wether they definitely will fit solidly, I dont want any unsealed bits etc. I dont hate the my05 but I think the clear ones suit the WR Blue paint a bit more

Someones already mentioned it.

Start by disconnecting the battery. Next, there are clips around the boot carpet liner and maybe some plastic trim. Just unclip them and move these items out of the way. You will then see around 4 nuts with excess thread that hold the light assembly in. Undo the nuts.

Disconnect bulb harness cables. Gently push the light assembly outwards whilst supporting on the outside (aka dont drop it). There is rubber/foam seal around the edges which will slowly peal off, so be careful not to tear it.

Viola!! Done. Installing is reverse order of above instructions.

Note: When tightening the nuts at re-install, tighten each nut progressively as it will take a while to 'seat' in. Do not overtighten!!

At no point did I ask how to remove a light, I asked wether or not my06 will fit a my05...
