Shouldn't be necessary to remove the bumper. PM Jeckle, he removed his a few weeks ago.

Or get Munya to come over & help you remove it (he wants one).

Instead of removing the towbar, how about spraying the exposed part a matt black? That should hide it.

lol 4 bolts would be easy, but everyone has a different idea of how it will come off at the moment,

Yeah good idea sayers! Hmm, tempting, but still not sure if I would use it... But yeah black would look alot better than crome, stands out so much!

Ill send jeckle a PM, He might be able to let me know how it was done

Think of all the weight you could get rid of with a few bolts and some time on your back.

Bumper should be able to stay as noted.

I put mine on without taking the bumper off, but it took a bit of persuasion to get it past the bumper without taking it off.

I have a GC8

get a hitch pin lock
then you can use your towbar tongue to hide your key at the beach

The bumper doesnt need to be removed but a few bolts and clips need removing to allow the bumper to lift to clear the tow bar.
when these bars are fitted to a GD a bracket is removed from the center behind the number plate, the bumper will flap around a bit without this in place, if you stick your head underneath you should see where the towbar now replaces that bracket.
