my96 parts onto my99
g'day all just a quick quire if i may...
thinking of purchasing a complete 96 wrx to use as parts for my my99 wrx as the front cut i was promised fell through, firstly both airbags fit?? and the fenders are they the same from each model?? aswell as headlights and spotlights and i'm pretty sure but may aswell ask the bumpers have changed between models am i right?? and the bonnet and the radior/air condensor i asume wouldn't matter but may aswell ask lol

96 airbags in a 99 - i doubt they would fit, since the dashes are completely different. and airbags were an option in the 96's.
bonnet and bumper need to be changed. i think the fenders may fit, not sure. keep on the lookout for a 99 cut, whats the point of downgrading to the pre98 design

r u positive?? ne one got a compare the pair style photo of the passenger air bag modual, just the squareish box where the air bag explodes out

I wouldn't bother with a 96 front cut. Dont think the passenger airbag was even an option until 97 and became standard in 98. Even if a JDM 96 front cut had a passenger airbag you have no guarantee it'll be operable in a 99 car. Best stick with a 99 or 00 front cut for compatibility. Headlights, spot lights, bonnet, grille are all different. Front fenders are the same. |
