Not sure if this is the right place to post this type of request but anyways.

I was just wanting to know if any one knows a place that can either make new guards or roll the existing ones as seen in the picture below. Do i just need to take it to a tyre shop eg Tech9 or something?

The guards are loose because of the large rims and they are becoming worse and worse as times goes on.

if any 1 has any suggestions it would be much appreciated

Dent wizards or some panel beaters are good at rolling guards...

Difficult to do yourself cause its easy to put small dents in the guards.. especialy if you miss with the hammer...

Could always lengthen the inner guard liner and 'likely' pull out guards to get the clearance... depends on how much the tyres are catching on them...

The part you're referring to are called guard liners and they're made of swiss cheese unfortunately

Best bet would be to remove tyres and re-secure them into the existing holes or create new ones (if you're not confident drilling holes into your car then yes take it to a tyre shop/panel beater).

I think replacement liners are around $90 each? but before doing anything take the tyre off and see if the plastic fasteners are still there or if they have simply been rubbed away due to as you've said above)

Without seeing the extent I would suggest having a look underneath and see if the liners are still attached to the bumber.

Plastic also expands and contracts 'which unfortunately leads to stretching', have you tried either re-tucking them back in or modifying them to fit better?

Guard or guard liners? If it’s the black guard liners, the black plastic section inside the guard, you might be able to do a minor repair using some glue possibly, or you can get new liners at around $60 each. You will need 2 obviously, 1 each for the left and right side, if they both need changing. You may also need to get some more clips to hold them in place depending if you are missing any. These can all be sourced from any Subaru dealership parts department.

I have just done both of mine as I had the same issue. Mine needed changing due to age of them, nothing to do with wheel size in my case.

If they've been chopped for a FMIC, very little chance of getting them to sit properly, especially for the bit that goes under the bumper.

They get hacked up fairly easily, even with normal rims at a lowered ride height, let alone your rims.

If your front guards have been rolled heavily, the plastic liners won't sit properly either (as in your photo).. you can stretch them with a heat gun though to sit in the guard lip a little better.

A dodgy sounding way of securing it, although it works quite well, is to punch a small hole in them (in the bit that goes under the bumper) and run a cable tie through it.. secure the cable tie around the IC piping. It'll hold them fairly steady.

Just out of curiosity, as i slightly butchered mine doing the silencer intake mod- What exactly do these things protect from splashes.. and are they nessecary?

get yourself some rivnuts and make some more attachment points including a bracket of some sort that can fix the top of the liner.

using riv nuts will eliminat the need for needing to have access to put a bolt on the nut...

Also prevents your front guards from getting "outtie" dents, caused by shit being flung up by the tyres.
