Why 03? Why not go for 06 / 07?

I don't understand the need for a conversion at all? why not leave the one that's there? nothing wrong with the back end of a bug eye sti

Unless you're wanting to fit a rear diffuser (as these are few and far between for bug eyes) and the clear tail lights, there is no reason to change it over..

IMHO, the 03+ bumper doesn't look as aggressive as a bug eye bumper.. the 03+ one rounds off more on the lower edges.. as a result, it looks "narrower".

Again, if you want to fit the later tail lights and a rear diffuser, go for it.. as its hard to find diffusers for bug eyes.

Otherwise, a set of spats will sort out the look pretty nicely

I was thinking of doing it for the rear diffuser & tail lights.
The bug tail lights just look boring.

But i have just been trawling ebay & found some nice full led tail lights that arent clear altezza super cheap spec

If you want to update the styling perhaps check out HID Projector Headlight Retrofit for Subaru, Honda, BMW, Scion and More | LightWerkz.net

I quite like the backend of the Bug personally.

Not really changing much by doing the peanut conversion anyway.

Personally smash performance/handling/interior comfort mods into it.

Ive already got the HID kit on the STi headlights.
they look great, im thinking now just changing the tail lights to these
02-03 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI LED TAIL LIGHTS RED CLEAR | eBay

i just want something subtle and a little bit different.

this is still just planning but i really just wanted to see if people have done it and how much hassle it is to do.

personally, id smash a APR Full carbon rear diffuser on the 03 bumper, those things look amazing.

Are they the same as these? they were on it when I bought it so no idea where they came from. They did look really good compared to the fuzzy stock ones I've still got sitting in a box somewhere, car is long gone.

Pic I pissed around with but the lights stayed pretty much the same.
