As the title suggests, im looking into getting some wheels from the U.S. and having them flown back. I was just looking for people who have done that, their experiences, costs and what website/company they went through.

The wheels i was looking at getting are Vossen CV1s either 19" or 20" and its planned to go into my next car when mine eventually gets sold. I enquired at tech9tyres and they quoted a total of $3800 shipped to the store in 3weeks by airfreight. I wanted to have a look around myself but dont know where to start. Vossen dont sell directly to us they go through dealers.

Considering the strength of our AUD i cant think of a better time to look.

dude get rot as from australia $999 + 30 POSTAGE from carmods a vendor on this forum they will probably look better then whatever you find i usa also i wanted 19" doesn't go to well with the rexxys lol

Remember you will have to pay 10% duty and 10% GST on top of any shipment that comes to over $1000.

Unless they are a quality rim, I wouldn't bother ordering overseas.

Yeah i just plan on trying to beat dealer prices here as they have to get it from the U.S anyway. Theyre vossen forged wheels so im pretty sure theyre half decent.

Any ideas guys?
