hey guys.
Right so i bought a 2010 sti spec r, under the fron drivers seat is the factory amp/sub combo.
On top of the amp is another little black box with a microphone/aux out and a socket labelled "ipod" and another labeled "monitor"

There is a plug running from the centre console, that looks like it should fit into the monitor socket, but isnt plugged in. Im running sat nav.
Now is it possible to plug my ipod into this box and control it with my head unit? and what is the monitor socket for?
what other things can i do with this setup as i have tried to look on the net but no one really seems to know. any help is appreciated!

Got a pic? you won't be able to control your iPod unless it has the USB cable or designated iPod control, AUX or Monitor won't be able to control it
