Default 02 sti Ultrex CF Front Lip

What’s people’s opinion on the CF front lip from Ultrex.
Anyone got one? And if you do are you happy with it?

I'm seriously thinking about getting it but would like to what others opinions are and if they have had any problems with them.

Cheers

Depends how low your car is mate.

Ultrex stuff is good but if you are constantly scraping, get PU instead of CF.

Yea Kid the scrapping part is what worries me.

I have Tein Coil overs and it's not Stupid low and not a daily driver. I also like the look of the CF on a black car.

My car is stock height (taking in mind its a few mm lower than stanard GD) and with a CF lip, it clears most driveways and doesnt scrape often. So if your car is lower than standard height, I would suggest a PU lip.

I had one, was great until it caught some debris on the road and ripped itself apart. If your car is low, get PU, otherwise just drive carefully and expect to replace it fairly often.

Unsure what everyone is doing to smash your CF front lips. Only one I have smashed was after a 1m jump (which tore off the rest of my bumper). Scraped into driveways, bumped into kerbs, kicked it, you name it and it was fine.

I chose a poly lip instead of a CF due to my house driveway and my work drive having a very high incline and it scrapes every time and takes a battering day in day out.

Go carbon fibre and just be a little more careful than you would be. I have had the carbon fibre lip for my 06 now for the better part of 3 years, mind you my coilovers are not set to "drop it like its hot" height so that helps too.

Rob's stuff is good and service is even better.
