It does look a lot cleaner, but your seats and door trim are still blue so won't have the same effect

i painted my gtr cluster & stereo surround with black plasti-dip as previous owner had really gayed it up with metallic blue really happy with the results, it has texture to it also

quite a few guys on ozfoz us it to make their XT forester centre dash fascia look like the sti forester dash thats black

that looks really good! You obviously have a lot more patience than I do. I would think clear coating it would give it a bit of a glossy/shiney finish, imo I'd leave it as is.

have you seen the black overlays that subtle sell? they're not bad, not sure how the numbers on the right dial would line up though
