Auto 1 & Similar shops can make up cans based on your paint code, won't be as good a match as what a good paint shop can do but they're about $25 a can or so.

Their fairly cheap when they mix you up a can

Hey quick question to do with this.

New Rex is really low. Paint is immaculate except for a few scratches on the front body kit..from speed bumps and such I presume.

Not too many but the little white spots on the blue paint annoys me..

Is touch up paint appropriate or will it look like an obvious colour difference? Anyone had experience? Thanks

As far as touch up bottles go, if you can get a bottle of your paint code paint, then how it turns out is all in the application - if you can just fill the chipped/scratched area, you won't be able to notice unless you're up against the lip looking for the scratches. If you go heavy/outside the scratched area, it'll stand out.

Example of how not to do it:

What you can do is clean up the area with wax & grease remover, carefully apply the touch up paint, let it dry, then wet sand with a very fine grit paper and then polish it. Will make it as smoothed out and un-notiable as possible without repainting the whole thing.

automotive paint n tools in cannington can scan your body panel and based on your paint code give a much better matched spray can, i think similar price to autoone too.
