G'day All.
I have a 2005 WRP10. The cd player does not work at all. I don't want to spend a lot of money to replace it. I have $500.00 to spend. Auto One have a system for $400.00. It's a Kenwood bluetooth built-in 6.1" wide VGA dual din monitor with dvd receiver. WOW thats a mouthfull. I have no idea what all that means. If this system is ok would someone on this forum like to fit it for me or can you recommend another supplier?

I can fit it if you would like.... If you want a double din touchscreen unit they are not too bad. Imo I have a single din blue tooth, Cd, mp3,wma,ipod Sony deck that does the job.

If you want speakers you will need spacers for the front and rear. $20 a pair from JB hi Fi.

Pm me If you have any questions. :-)

Ps

If you don't want to spend much at all I would recommend a single din deck that does the basic features. Can be had with ipod and usb and blue tooth for under $200 usually...

By chance are you NOR?

I just had some work done at Alberts in Joondalup. They did me a cheap head unit installed for $150. I found their work to be very professional.

As for your question, single din/double din refers to the size of the unit. Single din is the traditional sized unit (think the old cassette players). Double din occupys twice the space.

ISO 7736 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That should give you some idea of what I'm talking about.

If it has the double din 6 stacker, it will have the brackets required for a double din to be fitted. I'm unsure if they still had the 6 stacker in your model.

In regards to differences, one fills the whole space and will cost more usually with Gps, digital radio, DVD player etc.

If you have a storage pocket under or above your current Cd player then I would just hit JB hi Fi and grab a blue tooth and ipod one for like $200

Cheers

Just a note regarding converting from a double din down to a single and needing the little pocket; the shop I got my unit from supplied it at no extra cost as part of the install.

Shop around and dont be afraid to haggle with them. Most places price compare, thats why I ended up there.
