Does it cost more for a colour change because they have to paint internal parts (i.e. inside of door frames, bonnet, boot, obviously not the carpet!) to match the external colour or is it another reason?

plus they have to take out alot more off the car to get it ready to change its colour

6k for a full baremetal respray + new moldings is really gd price. but yes as u sed no one wants nor like doing resprays. dads got a panel shop, ("perth panel and paint" / also owns "the bodyshop" 37 omelly st ozzy pk) and theres just no money in them, for the work involved u have to charge a priemium which most customers wlak away form. its just far more economical to do a few little jobs, u deal with a number of ppl, not one dickhead comeing in each day asking is it done yet is it done, how much have u done today.

hes got 9k on a 1973/74 camaro ss respray, its at metal now, came in that way about 2 months ago, and he just won't start it.
